Please meet at the Colorado Trailhead Parking Lot at 9:00am Sharp, Rain or Shine. The Trailhead at Junction Creek is approximately 3.5 miles west from Main Ave. in town. Hikers should follow W. 25th Street west from Main Ave.. This same street (W. 25th Street) turns into Junction Creek Road (CR 204). Again, the trailhead is approximately 3.5 miles from Main Ave.. The trailhead parking lot is down and off to the left side of Junction Creek Road.

For those coming from out of town or who wish to carpool to the trailhead, please meet in the NW corner of the Durango High School parking lot at 8:30am (the intersection of Main Ave and E. 24th Street).

This is the CMC Pack Guide Hike #6 (Shortened-version to Forest Service Bridge below Gudy's Rest) at the end of the Colorado Trail.
**Depending on weather, trail conditions, and group dynamics, we might consider extending to Gudy's Rest. The shortened version of the hike to the bridge is an Easy hike. If the hike is extended to Gudy's Rest, then it's a 6 mile RT hike. The anticipated hiking time is 2.5 to 3 hours. Highlights: Searching for Spring hike along Junction Creek and the Colorado Trail. Locals favorite! This is a Leader-in-Training hike for Dan King.
