Octo Hike – Flying J Ranch This is an Octogenarian (Octo) Hike for those who have aged out of normal CMC hikes, or anyone who finds CMC's Easy A hikes more than they want or can do. Octo Hikes are slower paced and have shorter distances with less elevation gain than typical Easy A hikes. Octo Hikes typically include a social lunch at a local cafe or using picnic tables after the hike (TBD.)

We will carpool to King Soopers Gas station in Conifer (NOT where the KS store is) and use bathrooms there. Then we drive to the Shadow Mt. Access Th.
Several routes available in this Jeffco Open Space. Leaders will determine trail routes and advise in 2 day advance email.
Instead of going out for lunch, we'll bring our own lunch and eat at the picnic area which is about 2/3 ds of the walk. Maybe we'll bring something to share?
