Octo Hike – Staunton State Park - Davis Ponds

This trip is part of the Octogenarian Hike series which is for those desiring shorter mileage, lower elevation gain. and more frequent stops than an "Easy A" hike. Non-octogenarians may join just be aware the paced will be slower than that you have experienced previously.

A Staunton SP Naturalist will provide in-depth historical information about the Staunton Cabin which will be open to our group at 9:00 am.

Travel time from Hampden & Wadsworth is approximately 35 minutes.  We will park in the Cabin parking lot which is below the Lazy V parking lot.  We will hike to the Staunton Cabin for the  tour.  We should be at the  cabin at 8:50 am.

The Naturalist will be giving a second tour to a group led by Linda Jagger & Wayne Howell at 10:00 am.

 Our Octo Hike group will resume the hike after the Naturalist presentation at the Staunton cabin.

Meeting location:  Hampden & Wadsworth PNR
