Octo Hike – West Magnolia Loop near Nederland

Summer heat - extra water light-weight clothing.  We will eat lunch somewhere on the trail.  Please advise privately of any medical conditions or medications that could impact your hike safety.

This is a lovely area with lots of tree cover.

There are no facilities on this hike. There are restrooms in the American Mountaineering Building we can use before leaving.  We will practice "Leave No Trace" on the hike - not leaving behind any toilet paper and digging, etc.

This is an Octogenarian (Octo) Hike for those who have aged out of normal CMC hikes, or anyone who finds CMC's traditional Easy hikes more than they want or can do. Octo Hikes are slower paced, have shorter distances, less elevation gain, and more frequent stops than typical Easy A hikes. We also normally stop for snacks at picnic tables, where available, or social lunch at a local cafe after the hike.
