An out and back trip from the East Portal Trailhead to Upper and Lower Crater Lakes. This hike is for RMOTHG members only.

From the East Portal of the Moffat Tunnel, we will follow the South Boulder Creek for about 2 miles to the Crater Lakes Trail.  We will follow the Crater Lakes Trail up to the lower Crater Lakes, then up a relatively steep section of trail with switchbacks to the Upper Crater Lake

Meet at 6:50 for a 7:00 am departure from the “Clear Creek Parking Lot” in Golden.  This is at 10th Street and Archer.  There are porta potties at the parking lot. Here’s a Google Maps Link to the “Clear Creek Parking Lot”:  https://maps.app.goo.gl/LwZAdnVTp64XqEqj9
