RMOTHG Trip – Flying J Ranch

The current weather forecast for Wednesday is sunny with a high near 46 degrees.  The wind should be 2 to 8 mph with gusts as high as 16 mph.

We will do this hike in a clockwise direction, stopping for a snack and bathroom break at the main trailhead at approximately 3 miles into the hike.

In addition to the 10 essentials, please bring trekking poles, micro spikes (in case of ice on the trail), plenty of water and food for our snack break.  Also bring an extra pair of shoes because there is a chance of snow Tuesday night, causing the trails to be muddy.

Because there is limited parking at the trailhead, we need to minimize the number of cars.  Please be prepared to pay your share of the $10 per car carpooling expense.

We will meet at Morrison Park & Ride, 3485 S. Rooney Road.  Please arrive by 8:15 am for a prompt departure at 8:30 am.  We will carpool from there to the trailhead with a short bathroom stop at King Sooper Gas Station (not at the store) at 26067 Conifer Rd.
