RMOTHG Trip – Geneva Mountain

This high altitude hike to Geneva Mountain starts at the top of Guanella Pass and features majestic 360 degree views of the sorrounding peaks. 7 miles long and with 1600 ft of elevation gain, this route has been described as "moderately challenging". We'll start on the Rosalie Trail then head off-trail across the tundra to our summit. Estimated time of completion: 5 hours.

Please assess your current aerobic / physical conditioning for this hike - keeping in mind spending 5 hours hiking across uneven tundra at high altitude while gaining 1600 feet of elevation. We'll be maintaining a steady moderate pace (1.5 – 2 mph) with minimal stops. (But no one gets left behind!)

From the Morrison Rd / CO 8 exit of 470 go west towards Morrison. Take immediate right on South Rooney Rd. Dirt Parking Lot is directly on your right across from the gas station/convenience store.
