RMOTHG Trip – Mount Falcon

This terrific trail in Mount Falcon Park offers panoramic views of the Denver metro area, as well as beautiful mountain scenery. The Walker Home Ruins and the Summer White house have a fascinating history, as well.

This hike is for RMOTHG members only.

Our trek will follow the Castle, Parmalee, and Meadow trails towards the south and east. After connecting with the Castle Trail again, (and as a bonus feature!), we will take a short jaunt on the Two-Dog spur which features picturesque views of the city below. . 

 We will then head towards the Summer White House Site. After stopping there,we will head back to the TH, stopping at the Walker House Ruins, as well as for lunch, along the way. 

 Meeting place: Meet at Morrison Park-and-Ride (3485 South Rooney Road) at 7:20 to organize carpools for a 7:30 departure. 

Regroup at the Mount Falcon WEST trailhead (21074 Mt Falcon Rd, Indian Hills, CO 80454.) The distance  is about ten miles.

Remember to bring your 10 essentials; poles are recommended. If there has been snow recently, we will need to bring micro spikes, as well.
