RMOTHG Trip – Staunton State Park

This Classic loop at Staunton State Park features several amazing overlooks and historic structures. Dines Meadow, Mason Creek, Bear Paws, Old Mill, and Staunton Ranch trails comprise this 8 mile / 1400 ft elevation-gain hike. Keeping a steady & brisk 2 mph pace this hike is estimated to take approximately 5 hours.

  • Pace: Steady 2 mph - minimal stops

Come prepared for steep and icy trails.

Microspikes Required (Kahtoola Brand or similar quality).  

Poles highly recommended - especially for steep, icy sections.

CARPOOL MEETING PLACE:    Morrison PnR:   3485 S. Rooney Rd, Morrison, CO
From the Morrison Rd / CO 8 exit of 470 go west towards Morrison. Take immediate right on South Rooney Rd. Dirt Parking Lot is directly on your right across from the gas station/convenience store.
