  • Elevation Gain: 400 ft

Must have: CMC's “Intermediate Rock Climbing” Badge or higher.  Must have basic knowledge of safe top-rope belay skills; but, leading/cleaning/advance rock skills are always welcomed.  Come out and climb as hard or as easy as you like (or whatever we can find to climb that’s available).  Most climbs in this canyon are locally considered as: clean by rappel; however, there are now some mussy hooks available (thanks to the tireless efforts of our local PPCA); and we will honor whatever you feel safest using, if needed.

Meet at the (climber's) parking lot, North of the park -- farthest East parking lot accessed from Ridge Rd off Hwy 24 at 4:30pm*.  This is precipitation-weather dependent, and subject to be cancelled or moved depending on weather...  But, if sun is out and rock is dry, it'll probably go.  We will hike in together and chase the sun...  If there are numerous crowds at the crags, we will venture deeper into the area, with possible scree hiking (round-trip) approx 4 miles.

*If you plan to arrive late, please let me know, and we will meet you at the crag
