Pagoda Mountain lies at the southern end of Glacier Gorge in the Rocky Mountain National Park. The summit provides spectacular views back down Glacier Gorge, Longs Peak, Mount Meeker, Chiefs Head Peak, and into the Wild Basin area of the park.

We'll start from the Glacier Gorge trailhead and hike on trail to the upper shelf of the gorge above Black Lake, towards the gulley between Pagoda Mountain and Keyboard of the Winds. The route up the gulley is off trail, steep, with a lot of loose rock. There are some moderate class 3 moves near the top. From the top of the gulley follow the ridge (class 2) to the summit. We'll return the same way.

Meeting time and place details will be emailed to participants.

Note that this trip requires an early start. We'll need to be in the RMNP before 5AM, and will leave Fort Collins no later than 3:30AM.
