Scramble – State Forest State Park - Static-Richthofen Traverse

This is a long but rewarding day in the alpine environment of the Never Summer Mountains. We will travel through multiple land holdings including: State Forest State Park, Medicine Bow-Routt National Forest, and Rocky Mountain National Park. Views are spectacular. This is a mountaineering adventure which requires scrambling skills and gear for both rock and snow terrain. We will be moving over class 2+ rock terrain and hopefully snow which makes movement over talus far easier. Experience and skills for both rock and snow, such as that learned in NoCo ASC skills days, is required for this trip. Scrambling is a strenuous activity, especially in the alpine. To keep up with the group, be safe and to have fun, you will need to be in good shape.
