Participants will register for their preferred 14er through the Colorado Mountain Club website, where they will be placed on a waitlist for their chosen peak (you may join more than one waitlist). From there, trip leaders will reach out to gather more information about each participant's experience level and interests. For trips where the waitlist exceeds the allotted group size, participants will be selected by lottery.
- Not sure which 14er to sign up for? Visit our Blog "So you want to hike a 14er?" for more details about selecting the right 14er for you!

Some folks will be camping and some intend to stay locally, like a hotel in Buena Vista. As a result, we will set a start time to meet at the North Cottonwood Creek Trailhead. The map has pin showing the trailhead. Start time is planned for 5:30a. Plan to arrive at the trailhead early so that you'll be ready to start at 5:30a.
The day before the climb, I will check the weather forecast and send a text confirming the start time. We may move the time earlier if the weather looks threatening. Headlamps should not be needed at 5:30a but have one ready in case we start earlier.
More details to come as we coordinate.
Plans for the night before:
Camping at the trailhead: Dave H, Alex H, Brett R
Hotel in Buena Vista: Steve H, Elsie H
