Bald Mountain (13,684') near Breckenridge. Elevation gain from Boreas Pass 3,123' and 10.3 miles. Moderate difficulty. On a clear day, you will get good views of I-70 and Dillon Reservoir as well as the town and ski resort of Breckenridge. You are likely to be the only one on the mountain.

The easiest way to reach the top of Bald Mountain is from Boreas Pass. Follow the Black Powder Trail #9188, an enjoyable hike over a gently sloped ridge line to Black Powder Pass (12,159'), turn north and follow the ridge onwards and upwards to the Bald Mountainsummit. Descend back to Black Powder Pass, returning to the cars via the trail - 10.1 miles, 3123' gain.

AllTrails suggests a route from the Breckenridge side via Baldy Road - 10 miles, 3062' gain.
