DuPont Open Space Park

Short, heavily wooded trail to a meandering creek in DuPont Park, located in the historic Louviers community east of Roxborough State Park.

The DuPont Park is a Douglas County Open Space park with restrooms, picnic tables, playground and ballpark. The short trail to the creek is an ideal spot for year round birding.

The town of Louviers is a well-preserved company town, listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The town was founded in 1906 by the DuPont Company to attract long term employees to work at their Louviers Works dynamite plant. The Louviers Village Club is still used as a community center.
