Stewart Peak

A San Juan Centennial 13'er and one of the highest 13'ers in Colorado. Located in the beautiful La Garita sub range of the San Juan mountains.

After Grizzly A, Stewart Peak (13,988') is the highest 13'er in Colorado. It sits in the eastern part of the San Juan mountains. Regardless of how you approach it, you would be walking on gentle meadow and talus slopes, nothing harder than class 2. Stunning views of other San Juan peaks greet you from the summit

Alternative Titles:

Via North Slopes: From the Cebolla Trailhead -7.6 miles, 2800' gain.

Via East Ridge: 8 miles, 3000' gain.

There are other approaches that combine neighboring peaks such as 14'er San Luis peak or 13'er Baldy Alto which add mileage and gain. Send an update request to add any of these as an Alternate Title.
