Trip Report

Ascending Hikes – Mt Galbraith

Wonderful spring hike to the summit of Mount Galbraith. Bountiful wild flowers and a spectacular hawk sighting. Trail is great condition!

  • Road suitable for all vehicles
  • Cedar Gulch Trail, Mount Galbraith Loop Trail, Summit Trail, and descent via the Mount Galbraith Loop Trail and Cedar Gulch Trail were free of snow and ice. The trails were dry, clear, easily navigable, and a joy to traverse.

Carolyn & I began our hike at 7:30am, achieved the Mount Galbraith summit before 9:45am, enjoyed spacious views of the Continental Divide and the foothills, before descending back to the trailhead. The parking lot had only one car when we began our hike at 7:30am. The lot was overflowing when we concluded our hike at 10:30am.
