Hiking – Ralston Roost - Frazer Meadow Loop

Great hike in Golden Gate Canyon State Park! Beautiful views of Front Range Peaks covered in snow!

  • Road suitable for all vehicles
  • Route had some very small ice and snow patches in shady areas but mostly dry and well drained!

We started hiking on the Horseshoe trail and after a 100 yards took a connector trail over to the Black Bear trail.  We enjoyed the steeper Black Bear trail with lots of rock formations and great views of snow covered Front Range peaks in the distance at Ralston Roost!  We then connected with the Burro trail to Frazer Meadow and had lunch near John Frazer's historic Barn!  After Lunch we enjoyed the Horseshoe trail for a nice loop back to the trailhead!
