Join CMC Youth Programs for an Introduction to Wilderness First Aid! Our instructors will walk students through the basics of first aid in the backcountry.
- Who: Students in Middle and High School
- When: Tuesday, March 10th, 10am-1pm
- What: Scene Assessment, Wound Care, Sprains & Splints
- Where: CMC Basecamp (15605 W 32nd Ave, Golden CO 80401)
- Cost: $30/non-member participant, $25/member participant
Registration Guidelines:
- All participants must have a waiver signed by a parent or guardian to participate.
- All participants must have an adult chaperone. Only one adult chaperone per group is needed. (for example, if you are transporting 4 participants, you can act as the adult chaperone for all 4 participants)
Adult chaperones are responsible for:
- Knowing of any allergies and handling any medications the participants may need during the program.
- Handle outlying behavioral issues that detract from the activity
- Listen to and reinforce safety guidelines outlined by instructors
- Supervise lunch and transitions during the day
