CMC Homeschool Learning Lab - Earth Science: Clouds & Lightning

Join CMC Youth Programs for a fun and educational day focused on understanding Mountain Weather and Teambuilding at the CMC Basecamp! Students will rotate through three stations with hands-on experiments like making clouds in a jar and using our Van De Graaff generator to create lightning! (This offering could supplement Physical Science classes)

• Who: Students in 1st-6th grade
• When: Tuesday, December 16th, 10am-1pm
• What: Clouds Lesson, Lightning Lesson, Teambuilding Games
• Where: CMC Basecamp (15605 W 32nd Ave, Golden CO 80401)
• Cost: $30/non-member participant, $25/member participant

Registration Guidelines:  

• All participants must have a waiver signed by a parent or guardian to participate.

• All participants must have an adult chaperone. Only one adult chaperone per group is needed. (for example, if you are transporting 4 participants, you can act as the adult chaperone for all 4 participants) 

Adult chaperones are responsible for:  

• Knowing of any allergies and handling any medications the participants may need during the program. 

• Handle outlying behavioral issues that detract from the activity 

• Listen to and reinforce safety guidelines outlined by instructors 

• Supervise lunch and transitions during the day
