The class will cover how to escape the belay and ascend the rope to pick-off an injured climber from the bottom of the climb. The class will also review lowering and hauling systems to assist a climber in top-managed areas such as the Ouray Ice Park.
Participants are expected to be graduates of ACS or Self-Rescue I (Basic Self-Rescue). This course is a prerequisite for the Multipitch Rescue course.
