In-Person Meet Up – Edgewater Beer Garden

The Alpine Scrambling Class Denver will gather one time in-person as a group for gear demo, knot tying practice and book distribution.

Place: Edgewater Beer Garden 2508 Gray Street, Edgewater, CO 80214

Date: Thursday 5/30/2024

Time: 6:30-8:30 pm

  • Come at 6:00 pm early to meet Instructors and other students, grab a beer/food prior to the start of our meeting.
  • Although dogs are allowed in brewery, no dogs at this event
  • Parking on street in brewery neighborhood
  • For the best experience, review the REQUIRED EQIPMENT button well ahead of time and practice knots
  • At arrival: check in and get your CO Scrambles Guidebook
  • Stations will be set up for: Gear Demo, Knot Tying

Agenda: Come meet your fellow students. Have a beer. Our volunteers will have stations set up for:

  1. Gear DEMO 
  2. Guidebook CO Scrambles by Dave Cooper will be issued to all students who have successfully completed Google Classroom materials.
  3. Knot Tying Practice:
    1. Double Fisherman's Knot
    2. Girth Hitch
    3. Prusik
    4. Figure 8 on a Bight
