Intro to Hiking Safety

An introductory seminar to the hiking safety basics.

Come join us for our one-night seminar about how to stay safe in Colorado's backcountry. Topics include (but not limited to):
  • lightning
  • animal encounters
  • getting lost (or staying found)
  • cold weather gear, staying warm
  • hypothermia
  • dehydration
  • being stranded overnight.
  • many other safety topics

Please pre-pay by credit card if you are registering prior to the seminar.  Walk-ins are welcome.  Cash only at the door and exact amount please!

6:30 pm to 9 pm

In Golden, turn EAST on 13th Street off of Ford Street.  Yes, you will be skirting around the Coors Plant.  13th turns into 32nd Ave.  Drive 2.8 miles to intersection of 32nd & McIntyre.  Our building is on NW corner of that intersection.  Parking in front of building.   Yes, it looks like a former church since it was one!
