Improving Hiking Form and Performance Clinic – Colorado Mountain Club Basecamp
Pretty much everyone reading this has been hiking for a long time and gets around pretty darn good with the walking technique that they have. There are however, some walking form adjustments that even the most experienced among us can use to improve their walking form, thereby increasing efficiency and reducing fatigue, especially in the legs. Increased efficiency also decreases injuries. This clinic will systematically cover techniques that allow one to improve hiking form and endurance. Some lecture, lots of practice.

This clinic is active and will require a lot of movement and walking practice to learn and apply the various principles and techniques. Participants might want to bring a snack and something to drink as these are not provided. A handout of all of information covered will be provided to each participant.
If weather and time permits we may go to a nearby trail to practice some of the newly learned techniques.
