The meeting time and place will be emailed to participants a few days before the trip, but expect to meetup in north Fort Collins at about 7 am for the ~75 minute drive to the trailhead.

Please email the leader to register at stevendielman@gmail.com.  Registration priority will be given to ASC students. Non-students are welcome to register, but will be placed on a standby list until a few days before the trip when the roster will be finalized.

This is an elective scrambling trip for the NoCo Alpine Scrambling Course.   This trip will be an easier casual scramble well-suited for students who would like to practice their basic rock techniques in preparation for more challenging trips.  We will not have a specific destination, but after a short approach  (~ 1/2 mile) we will look for scrambling options of interest to the group in the area ascending to high points around Turtle Rock.  The focus of this trip will be unroped scrambling in Class 3 and perhaps some easier Class 4 terrain. However, the trip leaders will bring a rope to provide a belay and/or setup a fixed line in exposed areas if desired by any participants.
