The Avalanche Terrain Avoidance course consists of one classroom/Zoom session and a half-day field session.
The date and time for the classroom session will be provided to registered students approximately a week in advance.
The field session is usually held on the Saturday after the course starts. Details on the date and times will be provided to registered students approximately a week in advance. The field day may be adjusted due to weather and road conditions to the field location.

2. Food and hydration appropriate for an 8 hour field day in winter conditions
3. Clothing appropriate for the weather conditions during the field day
4. A dedicated slope inclinometer or a compass with an inclinometer function or an inclinometer app on a smart phone
