Class is from 6:30p - 9:00p in the Colorado Springs Fire Department Station 14 Community Room (1875 Dublin Blvd, Colorado Springs, CO 80918).  

Class will cover: gear overview, ice climbing ratings, anatomy of ice tools and crampons, ice climbing movement, and proper climbing technique for swinging ice tools and kicking in crampons.

Required Equipment:  Climbing helmet, harness, two locking carabiners (one must be a large HMS style), belay device, waist prusik (3-4' long), double length runner or PAS, winter alpine-style boots, steel alpine or ice crampons, and ice tools (the club has some crampons and ice tools, so check with instructor on availability).
