Learn the gear, maintenance, safety and beginner level techniques for this entry into the winter wonderland for many people and a common activity on the winter schedule. This is also a wonderful way of beating the ever rising resort lift ticket fees and crowds.
The course will have one classroom or Zoom session and a one-day field trip.
Classroom/Zoom and field trip details will be provided to registered students approximately a week in advance, by the Course Leader.
While there are no prerequisites for this course, students should be experienced in backcountry travel or day hikes in winter conditions.
If you don't own snowshoes, they can be rented from REI or other local outdoor gear retailers.
Questions concerning the course or issues getting registered should be directed to the Course Leader, Joe Preiss (ZMQJWP@Gmail.Com).
