For El Pueblo's Community

The El Pueblo Group of the Colorado Mountain Club is a local chapter providing outdoor experiences in un-crowded southern and southeastern Colorado. Formed in 1962 and has a proud history of exploring the mountains, plains and canyons of our region.

We currently have about 55 members and offer outdoor activities almost every weekend of the year.  Most of our hikes, cross-country skiing, and snowshoe outings are at a pleasant pace.  We also offer a free annual cross-country ski school in January and outdoor recreation activities for every skill level including:

  • Hiking
  • Climbing
  • Snowshoeing
  • Cross-country skiing
  • Downhill skiing
  • Biking
  • Birding
  • Camping
  • Backpacking
  • Exploratory adventures

We hold several social and educational functions each year, including a potluck dinner and periodic meetings.  Call Terry McCanne at 719-250-3315 for details.

Happy Trails from El Pueblo Group of the Colorado Mountain Club!
