Avalanche Terrain Avoidance
This hybrid AVALANCHE TERRAIN AVOIDANCE (ATA) Course for Denver Trip Leaders and fulfills the 5-year renewal requirement. The hybrid course allows students to complete the classroom materials through home e-learning at their own pace. The ATA field requirement will be made available periodically as students complete the e-learning portion.

Register and pay the fee or use your scholarship code to obtain access to the home study materials and quiz. Contact School Director when the home study is complete to obtain a field day date.
Scholarships available from Eckart Roder Leadership Scholarship for eligible trip leaders.
Reminder: This course is required for CMC leaders who wish to lead trips in snow covered, non-avalanche terrain. It must be renewed every five years. Check your ATA badge or with Membership Services if you are not sure about your required renewal date.
