Boulder Group is pleased to announce another offering for the Boulder Risk Management School. This session, which is part 1 of a two-part course, will cover the basics of Risk Management and then present a practical approach to risk management for trip leaders. The second portion of the course will provide an overview of the CMC's Incident Management System, 18 Jun 630-8pm. Separate sign-up for Part 2. The CMC Risk Management Badge will be awarded upon completion of both Part 1 and Part 2.
One of the issues facing trip leaders, especially new trip leaders, is the lack of training on a systemic approach to risk management. This course is intended to fill that gap with information that may be used during the planning stages of a trip as well as during the trip itself.
Attendance is deliberately being kept small to facilitate discussion. We plan to run this program frequently, so please check back for future offerings if this one is full.
Pre-course readings will be sent out approximately a week before the class date. A Zoom Link and will be sent to participants on June 7th.
