Plan to join us for dinner, volunteer recognition, and a talk by Kevin Wright.
Kevin G. Wright is a Colorado native whose lifelong connection to the mountains began with climbing Longs Peak at age 12 and learning technical rock skills under the mentorship of an Alpine Rescue Team trainer. After serving as a Strategic Air Command security specialist for several years, he returned to Colorado to study at the University of Northern Colorado and continue mountaineering. Near‑fatal incidents in Nepal and on Mt. Rainier inspired him to dedicate himself to search and rescue, leading to years of service with the Alamosa Volunteer Search and Rescue team, including three terms as president, as well as work as a National Park Ranger at Great Sand Dunes. A former Wilderness First Responder, EMT, and university instructor, Kevin has received multiple life‑saving awards, though he values most the gratitude of those he has helped. Today he continues contributing through SAR education and consultation while working as a high school English teacher in Aurora, spending his free time hiking with his two pomskies.
This is an evening you won’t want to miss!
