Program Presenters:

Have you thought about a trip to the Italian Dolomites? Heidi Broderick will share details on how they planned their seven-day hike, what they learned about Alta Via 2, the variety of the AV2 Rifugios, information describing Via Ferratas, including which VF they climbed, and other special moments experienced on their trip.

Lynn Clay will share her experience on an 11-day trek over nine passes in the Huayhuash, which is a remote mountain range within the Andes of Peru. The landscapes are immense with many peaks over 20,000 feet filled with snow and glaciers. The remoteness and sheer beauty are like nothing she’s ever seen before.

Alyssa Burgess will talk about her time on the John Muir Trail (JMT), a popular backpacking trail in the Sierra Nevada’s in California. Her presentation will cover a brief history of John Muir and the JMT, planning a JMT trip, obtaining the elusive permit, and the experience of hiking the trail. The benefits of backpacking in the Sierra Nevada’s are no afternoon thunderstorms (no guarantees)!

This free event will be held at Funkwerks. Social from 6:00-6:30 p.m. Program from 6:30-8:00 p.m.
