BPX Trip – RMNP - Bear Lake TH - Odessa Lake

I have been leading backpackers into RMNP for 20 years. This is early season, we may experience some snow on the trail, at campsite. Once at camp people can day hike, or fly fish, I can help one or two people with fishing if they are interested. We will have some classic rock at camp, not loud, Bluetooth speaker. If weather looks extremely rainy, we will reschedule or cancel. This should be a very fun trip into one of Colorado's gems, Rocky Mountain National Park. If you have any questions. Reach out to me. 303-912-8000

We will discuss carpooling, who is driving, once the group has formed and we identify where people are coming from. We will plan on departing from Denver around 6:30 AM June 19.

The trip is geared towards adults 25 years or older. Mercedes the coleader and I have led many trips into the park. We can only have seven people at this campsite so no families please, not enough spaces. This trip is open to people that have backpacked a similar distance in the last two years. If you have not been on one of my trips in the past please reach out to me before signing up so we can confirm it is a good match for you. Cell, 303-912-8000.

Required Equipment

10 essentials. All backpacking equipment you will need to be self-sufficient and safe on this trip. There may be some snowy spots on the trail, I would recommend bringing Micro spikes. You could leave them in the car if the trail is clear of snow, Rangers in the park should be able to confirm this before the hike.
