Expect to see beautiful vistas, waterfalls, wildflowers, and meadows on our steady incline to view these gorgeous lakes.  We will travel at a pace of 1.5-2.0 mph, taking breaks along the way, with longer ones at each lake.

As of today, I expect great weather for our hike. We will keep an eye on the weather to ensure we are down before any afternoon thunderstorms.

I anticipate we will have a wonderful hike!

More to come in my hello hiker email.

I can meet anyone coming from Boulder at 6:10 a.m. at the 29th street mall garage.  Otherwise, we can meet at the Nederland High School around 6:45 a.m., where we will carpool to the 4th of July trailhead.

I have room for 3-4 people in my car.  (If 6 hikers join, we will need at least one other person with AWD clearance to drive to the 4th of July trailhead.)  Boulder County performed maintenance on this road 7/28-29/2025, which was to include some grading.

If you are coming from the Denver area and want to carpool, reach out to me, and I will connect interested parties.  (I recommend carpooling from Plainview Rd. Parking off highway 72 and west of highway 93.)
