This is a tundra and history hike. We'll follow the CDT then Nystrom trails from Berthoud Pass to the head of Second Creek. From there we'll drop a bit then follow the old Berthoud Pass Ditch back to the Pass. Expect views of the Front and Gore Ranges. Original grade of the ditch was about five feet per mile so our net drop will be 25 feet or so on the return.
Meet wooly mammoth west end for an 8AM departure.
