Wooly Mammoth Section AA, 5:30am

Starting from the Ute Creek trailhead, follow a well-maintained trail through the woods to an area with pretty Utah-style rock formations. Go off trail to Bison Peak, one of the high points of the Lost Creek Wilderness. Continue going off trail to neighboring 12er McCurdy peak. Finally, descend back to a well maintained trail and retrace steps back to the trailhead.

This hike is meant to build fitness for summer hiking season, so it's fairly long and has pretty substantial vertical gain - roughly 16 miles with 5500 gain.

Rain, snow, bad weather cancels.
