Hiking – Coon Hill
A fun off trail day: We'll bypass Coon Hill, go up to the head of the valley. From there we'll decide: either follow a butter knife edged ridge over to the South Fork Trail, or do a circle route atop the divide. Expect views of the Front, Ten Mile, Gore and Williams Fork ranges.

This hike is on/off trail. It is exploratory and depending on conditions and the group, we'll either do an out and back into the Williams Fork basin or a circle route atop the divide. The out and back's further half runs north along the top of a narrow ridge below Hagar. It is entirely walkable, with no scrambling. That said, be aware that it is airy.
Meet at wooly mammoth west end for an 8 AM departure.
