Hiking – Hard Time Trail, Temple Canyon

The hike/snowshoe starts at the Upper Hard Time Trailhead in Temple Canyon Southwest of Canon City. The hike is on well defined rolling terrain with some areas of moderate gain. In the summer the trail is heavily used by mountain bike riders but a smaller number of riders are seen in the winter. The area is very pretty with stereotypic Southern Colorado landscape with interesting rock formations, a Juniper forest, and multiple types of cactus. The out and back trip is 9.3 miles with 1010' gain. This is an intermediate/moderate hike/snowshoe.
