We are camping near a few miles southwest of the mountain on Saturday and climbing on Sunday.

Camp area has electricity with at least 16 outlets in 5 different areas, a porta potty, but no water. (There is a stream if you have a water filter.) You’ll need everything that you would need for car camping or backpacking. There is a fire pit for grilling. Let’s do potluck for dinner. Mixed food group dishes work well, but texting me your intended Dish will prevent too many of the same type. Breakfast foods on your own.
Campers will meet at 5 Silverweed Ct. at 1:00 on Saturday or at 1800 Road 192, Westcliffe at 2:30.
Non-campers can meet at the trailhead at 9:30am on Sunday. See the map above for the starting point.
Required Equipment
Be prepared for rain and bring the 10 essentials. You will need a tent, pad, sleeping bag, breakfast, potluck food, hiking boots, a jacket, and water. If you bring something needing electricity, bring an extension cord. Bring coolers with lots of ice to keep foods safe.
