Let's go climb the easiest 14er with the shortest distance and vertical gain...Mt Sherman-14,043' in the Mosquito Range close to Fairplay, CO. We will climb via the Southwest Ridge route. Afterwards, we will also go Mt Sheridan-13,757'.

To add on Mt Sheridan will add another .75 mile and about 800 vertical feet of gain. (6.75 miles & 2,900 verts total)

There is no cell service at the trailhead, so meet at the Exxon Gas Station in Fairplay, CO

...then we will caravan or carpool together to the TH.

The goal is to be hiking before 7am.
