  • High Point Elevation: 13,268 ft
  • Pace: 2.0 mph but slower on the steeps

Please make sure you are acclimatized to altitude before you register for this hike. We will start at Loveland Pass at 12,000' and climb steeply up to the first false summit. There are two more false summits before we reach Sniktau. Don't be fooled by the apparently short distance as these false summits means we will have some uphills on the downhills too.

If we have good weather, the 360 degree views from the top will showcase surrounding peaks and several local ski areas. It will probably be windy so snow goggles will be a good addition to your wind gear.

Option to continue along the ridge to Cupid depending upon the stamina of the group. This will add about 1.5 miles and 600 ft.

Meet at Wooly Mammoth, Section BB in time for 7:00am departure (that means getting here 5-10 minutes earlier to get your gear together). Google Map Link to Wooly Mammoth.

The drive to the TH on Loveland Pass will take about one hour so we will have a comfort stop in Georgetown at the Visitor Center.
