Hiking – Orbital Trail - Segment 27

For Rocky Mountain Over the Hill Gang members ONLY. We will hike Segment 27 of the Denver Orbital Trail (DOT) starting at Majestic View Park in Arvada and making our way to the Ralston Creek Trail which will lead us to Blunn Reservoir. There the DOT brings you the long way around the reservoir, up to the top of a bluff, where we will take in some of the most stunning mountain vistas on the whole trail.

The DOT is a walking route that makes a full circle around Denver.  We will be hiking Segment 27.  We will walk through some Arvada neighborhoods to make our way to the Ralston Creek Trail and we walk through a variety of parks (Majestic View, Davis Lane, Danny Kendrick, Ralston Valley and Maple Valley).

This route is exploratory for the trip leaders. 

Carpool: Since the distance between trailheads is short and half of us will be driving, there will be no carpool cost sharing.  

We will meet at 9:00am at the Arvada Reservoir Entrance parking lot, 18915 W 64th Pkwy, Arvada, CO 80403.  https://maps.app.goo.gl/LT183JhtxSEYaUPc6  We will then carpool to our starting spot at Majestic View Park.
