Hiking – Ridgway Area Trails (RAT)

We'll check out the new ?hiker only trails.  Well behaved leashed dogs welcome. There may be bikes. Last day of the season before the RAT winter wildlife closure.

Great views of the San Juans, Cimarrons and Ridgway Reservoir.

There are lots of loops at the RAT trails.   The two CMC groups can take different trails and perhaps meet up at the top of Rattus Maximus for lunch.  

Meet at the lower RAT trailhead, a dirt parking area on the south side of 550 directly across from the Dutch Charlie entrance of Ridgway State Park at 10am or meet to leave at 9:30am at the northwest side of Looney Bean parking lot in Montrose. (If access gate is locked, we'll drive to the South trailhead parking just off of Owl Creek Pass Road.)
