Welcome to Rise & Grind – Guest Leader Edition, the CMC Boulder Group’s morning hiking and coffee series. Our objective is to start our day off right with some exercise, good company and a little mindfulness. In addition to the hike itself, we’ll pause on the summit for a moment of silent reflection and set our intentions for the day. Afterward there will be an optional stop for coffee, symbolizing a fresh start and the energy needed to conquer the day. While Christopher is offline, the Guest Leader Edition will feature various guest trip leaders.
Join us for this R&G hike of South Boulder Creek trail. We’ll hike the section from rt 93 to South Boulder Rd. This out-and-back trail has excellent views of meadows and the front range. The trail has gentle, rolling hills, no significant elevation gain, and a well-maintained path. We’ll move at a good pace (to stay warm), with minimal breaks. If you want “more workout”, wear a weighted pack.
Those of you doing the OSMP challenge, this completes part of the SBoulder Creek trail.
Plan for 2 hours.
Please note, while this will be an easy/moderate hike, it is not designed to be a beginner trip. This will be a before-work hike for some participants, so it’s important that we maintain our pace and finish promptly so folks can get to work on time. Please know your own abilities and be considerate of the rest of the group when you sign up.

Meet at 6:40am, dressed and ready for a 6:45am start. Sunrise is at 7:14.
