Welcome to Rise & Grind, the CMC Boulder Group’s morning hiking and coffee series. Our objective is to start our day off right with some exercise, good company and a little mindfulness. In addition to the hike itself, we’ll pause on the summit for a moment of silent reflection and set our intentions for the day. Afterward there will be an optional stop for coffee, symbolizing a fresh start and the energy needed to conquer the day.
For this morning's Rise & Grind we’ll be hiking a snowman (three loops) that should add some new trails to our repertoire (for those doing the OSMP challenge). Let’s call it the Crown Rock, Halfway House, Bluebell Baird Snowman. The hike is expected to be 4.8 miles long and ascend 1,296 feet. The trip should take less than two hours, but allow for up to three hours.
Please note, while this will be a easy/moderate hike, it is not designed to be a beginner trip. This will be a before-work hike for some participants, so it’s important that we maintain our pace and finish promptly so folks can get to work on time. Please know your own abilities and be considerate of the rest of the group when you sign up.
Meetup time will be 6:25am, leaving at 6:30am sharp; please be on time.
Details and directions will be emailed to registered participants.
