Hiking – Rolling Creek TH to the Castle at Wellington Lake
From the Rolling Creek Trailhead, we will follow the trail toward the NW base of The Castle. We will cross the creek and bushwack off-trail 900' up the heavily-treed slope to the 9200' saddle below the summit.

Leave from parking along the highway outside The Fort restaurant at 7:00am, 19192 Highway 8, Morrison, CO
Driving distance is 70 mi RT
From the Rolling Creek Trailhead, we will follow the trail toward the NW base of The Castle. We will cross the creek and bushwack up the side of the mountain to the saddle at 9200', where the route would be Class 5 if we were to continue, which we will not. We will return by the same route.
Each participant is expected to carry all 10+ Essentials.
I like to keep the whole group within yelling distance pretty much all the time, so if you are a free-spirited wanderer, this may not be the trip for you.
