Hike and possibly snowshoe for this 2 night stay. A great way to finish winter activities and welcome spring activities. This is a 10th Mtn. Division Hut (non refundable).
The Seipel Hut is a small 6 person cabin located near Polar Star Inn. The cabin was built in 1993. It is located just below timberline at 11,040' on the west side of New York Mountain, in central Colorado. It offers access to excellent skiing on New York Mountain, which rises just above the hut. Right next door is the Polar Star Inn, it is booked separately. There is running water from a spring-fed cistern (summer & winter) that makes kitchen work a snap, as well as a large fire pit and a gas grill on the deck, and a wood burning Sauna.
