This is a pleasant hike through aspen groves and undulating terrain near Fairplay, Colorado. "Tie Hack" is the name used for workers who shaped logs with axes into ties for the railroad. This is an "injury-recovery " hike with limited participants. We will hike a CCW lollipop loop of 5.2 miles with 800' elevation gain. The trail ascends gradually through aspen groves and meanders around in a loop. Views of Sheep Mountain can be seen from certain locations.

After the hike, weather permitting, we will move to the Fairplay Beach Park for a picnic lunch. Bring what you would like! Location: https://maps.app.goo.gl/hfpGVAbLeCr7m8b48
