A non-fitness oriented hike up Mt Sanitas. This is loop is one of the true gems of the front range. On this hike we’ll take or time and enjoy the scenery and sunrise as we climb to the summit. At the top we’ll pause for a moment of silent reflection and set our intentions for the day. We’ll then descend the East Ridge trail and finish the loop on the Sanitas Valley trail before returning to our cars.

The trip should take approximately two hours, but allow for up to three.

Remember to bring your 10 essentials, especially a headlamp as we’ll be starting in the dark. (Sunrise is at 7:17.) Hiking poles are highly recommended. Micro-spikes are also recommended in case we encounter some lingering ice on the East Ridge descent.

Centennial Trailhead, at 6:25am, for a 6:30 start. Details and directions in pre-trip email.
